What is SDGame - Digital?

In terms of content, the digital version is exactly the same: the case studies, challenges and learning experience are identical to the physical version. The difference lies in the format. You play independently, without our on-site guidance and without physical game elements such as role cards. On the other hand, you are not tied to our schedule, you can work with large groups at the same time, and a session usually runs a little faster. Still unsure? We’d also be happy to host a session ourselves, with the same content, but with guidance.

That’s certainly possible. In the digital version, we also provide feedback during the game that gives players further explanation of the events taking place. What’s more, as an organiser, you’ll receive a comprehensive guide and video material to help you get started with the SDGame. You can view these here. This means you certainly don’t need to be an expert to host a session. Still not convinced? We can also come and host a session for you, with additional real-life testimonials or teachers if desired. You can find more information about this here.

As a game facilitator, you put together your own game session(s): which and how many cases, strategy, time period…The game facilitator pays for each player who logs in to such a game session, in the form of a credit. Credits must be purchased in advance by the game facilitator. The principle applies that credits become cheaper the more you buy. Buying 100 credits in one go will work out cheaper than buying 10 times 10 credits. Credits do not expire.

We operate a pricing system whereby the cost per participant decreases as the number of participants increases. In addition, there is a fixed charge, regardless of the size of the order. A user who buys 100 credits in a single transaction to use across 5 sessions will therefore get better value than someone who buys 20 credits on 5 separate occasions. Furthermore, you often don’t know in advance how many participants there will be in a session. By using credits, we offer greater flexibility in this regard. Credits do not expire, so if you use fewer credits than expected during a session, you can simply use the remaining credits at a later date.

As an organiser, you can purchase additional credits at any time on the SDGame platform. These will be available immediately after payment.

The pricing structure (excl. VAT) for credits is as follows:Fixed price: €300+1–50 credits: €25 per credit51–100 credits: €20 per credit>100 credits: €15 per creditDifferent rates apply to educational institutions (undergraduate and postgraduate).Note: if you are playing in groups during your session, you will need one credit per group. If each participant plays individually, you will need one credit per participant.

We accept the most common payment methods, such as Bancontact, Visa and Mastercard. The credits you purchase will be added to your account immediately upon receipt of payment. You will then receive a confirmation email from us (including login details for the SDGame platform, if this was your first order) and your invoice. Existing accounts can also top up their credits directly via the SDGame platform. You can also order credits by emailing thomas@wakaaro.be. Once the invoice has been paid, we will add the ordered credits to your profile. Please bear in mind that this may take longer to process.

That’s possible, but please bear in mind that this will also cost one credit and that you’ll then need to log in as a participant via the registration link or QR code.

We ask for some details (name and email address) to keep track of the number of unique participants per session. Participants can also log in again at any time during the session using a confirmation email they receive after logging in, without losing their progress. As the organiser, you will also be able to see the answers given by each participant. This data is processed in accordance with our privacy policy and is not shared with third parties.

Participants in your session will need a laptop, tablet or smartphone with an internet connection to play the SDGame. As the organiser, you’ll need to create an account in advance, ensure you have sufficient credits and prepare the session(s). You can invite participants to a session via a login link or QR code.
